Ava's Infant Room Reveal

Hey guys! I'm so excited to part Ava's infant room amongst y'all tonight. It's 1 of my favorite rooms I've created, ever. Okay, so room reveal. 

These are the pics that I saved from the original existent estate listing. They had already moved out, supposedly years ago, so it was kinda merely staged, I guess. But, the indicate is that Ava loved this room together with it had a skillful vibe to it.

It was huge, but had yucky carpeting together with a giant sectionalization wall splitting the room inwards half. So, I knew nosotros would receive got to brand unopen to changes, but I saw the potential.

This whole solid is funky together with weird, but from what I tin deduce, I recall this was originally 2 small-scale bedrooms (the solid is currently 3 bedrooms together with mayhap it was originally 4), together with they must receive got knocked downwardly that wall. The below photos were taken yesteryear me, days after nosotros moved in. It was so difficult to photograph an accurate representation of this room at the time. Essentially, it was a giant room amongst a mini wall cutting it inwards half, it had severe textured ceilings, pet stained carpets, tan walls, together with so many lite fixtures. There was a ceiling fan, 2 boob lights, several tin lights, together with so iii ceiling air vents. We narrowed it downwardly to 1 lite together with the air vents. Gives me a footling anxiety looking through these onetime earlier pics. It was a lot of work, together with when I am truly going through the renovation process, I receive got a lot of stress together with major insecurities, together with these pictures remind me of that. I ended upwards using Sherwin Williams Agreeable Gray, a trusty favorite. (My other favorite below is Benjamin Moore Chelsea Gray. I recall it was the absolute perfect color, too. 

The disceptation slice of the entire room is this Silky Road Vivid Medallion carpet from Rugs USA. The curtains are from Target together with the cribsheet is from BuyBuyBaby. I took the mattress out to alter her sheets together with it turned into a hectic race to pile everything she owned on top. I dear watching her encephalon work.

I'm inwards a toy swapping phase. I pack upwards a bunch of her toys together with movement them to a dissimilar room or pack them away. Then a calendar week or so later, I swap them out. I've institute it to live on a dandy agency of keeping her interested inwards our electrical current toy hoard. Sometimes all it takes is merely moving her living room toys into her bedroom...hours of entertainment, I tell you.

I've been seeing a lot of ridiculous children's closets on Pinterest. And what a freakin' joke. I mean, it does inspire, but stahp. 

So, here's my version. We hung upwards every clothing Ava owns, most of which are also small, together with so she picked 1 to position on. Just happens to live on the 1 my mom made for me when I was Ava's age. Her cupboard is also stacked amongst random mirrors together with assorted junk. It's a process.

The closets got novel doors, too, but I haven't painted them yet. They are currently merely the tan primer color. Mama got tired. They are gonna live on this color until she goes to college.

I removed all of the random lite fixtures inwards this room together with replaced it amongst 1 dandy one...a semi-flush crystal tear drib chandelier.

It's been awhile, but I recall it was from Home Depot. Jesse did non dear the assembly process.

I made unopen to fine art for Ava's room.

I've been epitome a lot upstairs inwards my sleeping accommodation at night. Just a hobby, currently. I planned on making iii canvases, spelling out 'Ava', but nope. It took me multiple nights to complete the A, together with I thoroughly loved the process, but there's something virtually repeating a slice of fine art that takes the joy out of it. So, it turned into a singular piece. :)
