Yesterday, I kicked off my opor-garai decorating past times whipping out my decoupage in addition to creating some snowflake covered books. 

I accept tons of onetime books that I've collected through the years. Yesterday, I tried something I've been wanting to attempt for awhile. 

I painted my books white.

And in addition to thus I decoupaged some foil baking doilies on them.

Voila. Snowflake covered books.

Books

White pigment (I used leftover semi-gloss describe of piece of job solid paint.)

Primer

Paintbrush

Foam roller

Mod Podge (I used matte because I had it on hand, but I would recommend gloss for a to a greater extent than finished look.)

Doilies (I used foil baking doilies. You tin uncovering silvery doilies here and gilded doilies here. They're form of amazing.)

The showtime affair I did was pigment all of the books. I coated them amongst a coat of primer showtime (so that the pigment would stick to the glossy covers) in addition to and thus coated them amongst 2 coats of white paint.

Once the pigment was dry, I attached the foil doilies amongst Mod Podge, pushing the doilies into the crevices of the binding.

Once the initial layer was dry, I set 1 coat of Mod Podge over the transcend of the doilies to seal them. 

Once they were dry, I was costless to run most my house, trying them out inwards all sorts of unlike locations.

They seriously looked non bad only most everywhere.

I know. I'm ridiculous.
